Starter Zones Leveling Guide (0-20)
This guide is built for brand-new characters and returning players who want a clean, efficient leveling path from 0 to 20.
You will get:
- A zone-by-zone route
- What to prioritize at each level band
- Fast links to your Quests, Deeds, Mobs, Items, and Map tools
Quick Tool Links
Use these pages constantly while leveling:
Tip: Open database and map links in separate tabs so you can quickly bounce between your route and in-game objective tracking.
Before You Leave the Intro
For levels 0-5, do not rush out of your race intro too early. These quests are fast and establish your first skills, gear, and travel rhythm.
Priority checklist:
- Finish your intro chain completely.
- Equip every gear upgrade, even if small.
- Start killing nearby deed mobs while you quest (free progress).
- Sell junk, keep useful crafting materials.
If you need setup help first, see the Beginner's Guide.
Level 5-10: First Open Starter Region
Pick one starter region and complete it cleanly before hopping around.
Strong options:
- Bree-land starter flow (Archet / Combe / Staddle)
- The Shire
- Ered Luin (Elf/Dwarf routes)
Helpful lookups:
- Bree-land style quest search: Quests: Bree
- Shire style quest search: Quests: Shire
- Ered Luin style quest search: Quests: Ered Luin
- Bree-land deeds: Deeds: Bree
- Shire deeds: Deeds: Shire
- Ered Luin deeds: Deeds: Ered Luin
What to Prioritize
- Complete local quest hubs in batches (pick up all, then loop).
- Finish easy exploration and slayer deeds while moving between quests.
- Upgrade weapons first, then armor.
Item checks:
Level 10-15: Consolidate and Push Efficiency
At this point, your goal is to avoid downtime and overtravel.
Efficient Loop Pattern
- Pick up every quest in a single hub.
- Open the map link from quest/deed/mob entries when available.
- Stack objectives in one circuit.
- Return once, turn in all at once.
Use these while routing:
If a mob appears in the Mob Database with a spawn link, use Spawn to jump straight to the map location.
Level 15-20: Move Toward Early Regional Progression
By 15+, you can start mixing in broader regional questing while wrapping unfinished starter deeds.
Common next-step regions include:
- Bree-land wider route
- Lone-lands transition prep
Useful lookups:
Deed Strategy for 0-20
Deeds are your hidden accelerator in this level range. You get trait progress and cleaner zone completion.
Open: Deed Database
Recommended approach:
- Filter/search for your active zone deeds first.
- Prioritize deeds with overlapping quest areas.
- Use linked mob/map references to finish slayer counts with minimal detours.
Practical Map Workflow
Open: Interactive Map
For best results:
- Open a quest/deed/mob entry.
- Click its map link (or spawn link for mobs).
- Use that point as your current objective anchor.
- Chain nearby objectives before returning to hub.
This cuts the largest beginner time loss: back-and-forth travel without stacked goals.
Gear and Consumables Through 20
Keep it simple:
- Replace weapon upgrades immediately.
- Keep armor mostly current but do not overfarm one slot.
- Use food/potions when quest density increases.
Helpful item checks:
If you want to craft your own upgrades, use the Crafting Guide.
0-20 Fast-Track Summary
- 0-5: Finish intro completely.
- 5-10: Clear one starter region cleanly.
- 10-15: Batch hub loops and stack deeds.
- 15-20: Transition outward while finishing high-value starter deeds.
Keep these open while leveling:
Once you hit 20 comfortably, you are in a strong position for skirmishes, broader regional questing, and your first real build direction.
